■Acquisition of Residency Status
Any persons who have renounced Japanese nationality, or any foreign nationals who are to stay in Japan without following landing procedures through birth or any other reason may continue to stay in Japan without aquiring a Status of Residence for a period not exceeding 60 days on and after the day of his/her renoucement of Japanese nationality or birth.
The foreign national who wish to stay beyond 60 days has to apply for the aquisition of a status of residence within 30 days on and after the date.
