■Application for Extending Period of Stay
A period of stay is determined together with a status of residence at the time of landing or obtaining a permission of a change of stay. It is allowed for you to stay in Japan within the granted period of stay. If you wish to stay beyond the granted period of stay under the same status of residence, you are obliged to apply for Extending Period of Stay at the Regional Immigration Bureau. Foreign nationals who stay in Japan beyond their permitted period of stay are subject to punishment.
■Required Documents
