* Online Residency Application system has been introduced

The Immigration Services Agency of Japan has introduced Online Residency
Application System on March 2022. Foreign nationals can apply for residency
procedures by ONLINE.

A point-based system was introduced to provide highly skilled foreign nationals
　 with preferencial　immigration treatment

* Guidline for Permission for Permanent Residence

The Ministry of Justice amended legal requirements for permission for peｒmanent
residence

* The social security and tax number system (nicknamed My number)

The system was introduced to enhance the social security, public convenience
　 and, develope the efficiency in administration

* The Immigration Control Act was amended

The statuses of residence were reorganized Establishment of new procedures to facilitate landing examinations

*　Notification of one's place of residence and organization

Mid and long term residents are required to report themselves in the cases specified by the Immigration bureau
